In the context of Carducci's school, the paper examines the experience of Giuseppe Albini (1863-1933). After an introduction dedicated to reconstructing the relationship between the teacher and the student, starting from the autograph papers of the Albini Archive (Biblioteca Umanistica “Ezio Raimondi” of the University of Bologna), an examination of Albinis’s production about Carducci is proposed, outlining both his method and his intentions. The essay concludes with an Appendix containing Albini’s 19 letters to Carducci, preserved in the House Museum dedicated to the poet, accompanied by commentary.
