Abstract

The essay analyses Carducci’s various interests in Foscolo, studied as a poet, but above all as a prose writer, especially with Ultime lettere di Jacopo Ortis. The university courses and a conference held in 1875 are proof of Carducci’s studies, which investigates both the genetic history and the autobiographical component.
